Hej,

Men forsatan noget ringe lys.

Man får sq hvad man betaler for.

Dear Matt

Thank you very much for this very elaborate answer. I have read it with great interest. Let me just give it a thought and I will get back to you. Also I will post your answer in a Danish Porsche forum (app. 400 members). I'm sure they will find this as interesting as I did.

Thanks again

Best from Søren

Hi Soren,
Thank you for the inquiry and for your patience waiting for a reply over the weekend, hope you had a good one - We have actually helped quite a few people with older 7" round sealed beams upgrade their headlights with a set of bi-xenon projectors, so I am already familiar with what will work well and what won't. To start, since your housings likely have the "diffused" front lenses that arent perfectly clear - you'll want to locate an aftermarket set (OEM style, but with clear front plastic lenses) to start with as the basis of the retrofit. You'll definitely want to use a bi-xenon projector to retain full functionality of both your low and high beams. A bi-xenon projector would be the upgraded equivalent of your original halogen setup that used only 1 bulb to take care of the low/high beam functions. In cars that use separate halogen high beam bulbs, you can get away with just a normal low beam only projector - but not in this case. You could go with a low beam projector since you said you dont need the high beam, but they're actually more expensive (I know, it does not make much sense)

In the past, customers have gone with a variant of our FX-R bi-xenon stage 3 kit which has worked well, which is why I am recommending the following parts for your upgrade too:

FX-R bi-xenon projectors (low/high beam)
Morimoto 35w Digital ballasts w/ brackets
Morimoto 4300K/5000K/6000K D2S bulbs
Your choice of shrouds/bezels
Morimoto CCFL halo's
Bi-xenon relay wire harness
$325+ shipping

To get some details on each specific component, I recommend taking a look through our website at: -|LINK|-

The kit is built around our FX-R bi-xenon projectors, which were designed specifically for the purpose of a custom headlight retrofit. They have been extremely popular for their amazing performance (really wide, uniformly lit, bright beam pattern with a great looking cutoff line) and relatively compact, easy to mount design.

I've attached a couple pictures of previous customer retrofits in similar housings for reference so you can see whats possible. You can also check out another customers conversion in similar headlights here: -|LINK|-

and here: -|LINK|-

If there are any other questions or if you would like to order, feel free to ask and I'll be happy to help. You can either reply to this email, or give us a call at 614-653-3451. We can accept orders either online via PayPal, or over the phone with a credit card.

Thanks again Soren

Matt @ TRS

Retrofit bi-xenon in an early Porsche 911
Hi

Do you have any kits or similar which can fit bixenon into a Porsche 911 from 1969?. Or maybe just info?

I have seen this done in the Singer Porsche 911

Hope you have any knowledge to share

Best from Søren
